we stayed here for 2 nights from 8-10 march, 2012. it was a very good experience. very nice property , very much on the beach with excellent rooms. we got free wifi in lobby, nice bar. Check in was very prompt and staff was friendly.

This has been our favourite hotel in Macau for the past several years, and having stayed at the Venetian recently, I’ve decided I prefer the Westin for its personalised service, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the big lobby, the space outside, the big, bright airy rooms with balconies, the large bathroom with separate shower and bath, and the very comfortable beds. I agree it’s not for everyone and is a bit far away from the action, but if you want to walk the trails on Coloane, it’s perfect. The free hotel shuttle is good enough to get you to Cotai, Taipa and the ferry pier in Macau, but I’d recommend booking your seats. Most of the average or negative ratings for this grand old lady are because she looks tired. Well she is, but I think it would be better for the environment (and my wallet) if there is no renovation for a few more years. It’s old but clean. I don’t think hotels should constantly be renovated to always look new, as all their old stuff only adds to the waste and the problems of waste disposal. We tourists have a large impact on the environment as it is, so I’m OK to stay in one that ticks all other boxes. My only ‘negative’ comment is that charging HK50.00 for a basketball for one hour is very steep.

I've stayed at this property many times. I love it, its such a great getaway. The best night sleeps I have at this property. While its in in need of a refurb or a bit of paint, don't let that disappoint you as everything is first rate. The hotel has a very cossy somewhat homely feeling to it. Perched on the ocean its a great spot to unwind , massive sqimming pool, tennis courts, golf etc.. the staff have always been friendly and always very helpful. Id recommend a suite facing beach and ocean, spacioua balconys are great. The beach and waters aren't great but the resort is. Also a short 60 mop 8usd taxi ride from cotai the new vegas atyle strip of asia in all its glory. If your into the casino scene then escaping to the westin is perfect

A spacious resort... The rooms are a bit old, which I think requires a bit of a renovation. However I dont think its such a huge problem. The staff are friendly, and always care about our stay. We even got an upgrade to the Ocean wing, which I think was very relaxing. Breakfast is really good, we had a buffet breakfast, and there was a huge variety of choices. Overall a very good stay.

It is used to be the top resort in Macau. Now the price gone down a lot because of the competition of newer and more luxury complex in Macau. I wanted to have a relax , quiet break from high pressure work lately, so I chose Westin. It turned out to be my expectation. But one thing good is it is in fact not far away from busy and popular spots like Taipa and Cotai. the shuttle bus serivce is good that it stops at Cotai strip and Taipa in both ways. This helps me visting various places for dinner and sight-seeing, though I have visited Macau many times.
